Last night in Hua Hin

Tonights my last night in Hua Hin. Tomorrow I'm taking a late afternoon train to Bangkok, that will arrive there at about 8:40pm.

I think the best thing about Hua Hin is the food. There's restaurants for all tastes and budgets, from sidewalk vendors selling khao man gai and guay dtiaw for 20B a bowl, to seafood restaurants offering fish, crabs, squid and prawns fresh from the gulf where the average meal is about 300B. There's also plenty of international restaurants, mostly German and Italian. For the last couple of days I've had breaky at a restaurant near my guesthouse where dark-skinned Thai-Pak-Thai (South Thai) girls wear the traditional German waitress outfits. It's a little surreal.

Overall, Hua Hin is definitely part of my recommended itenerary for a trip through Southern Thailand.

I've been through Bangkok twice so far on this trip, but I haven't stopped there over night yet. Last year I spent about a week there, but it's still a bit of an unknown for me. I don't know it like I know some places in Thailand. So, I'm going to spend about 4 or 5 days there, and try to get to know it as well as I can.
